I’ll let this video speak for itself. Oh! Make it full screen, it’s way better that way.

I don’t intend to answer that question. If you want to know.. click the link below. I was drawn to this page because it uses a stock photo of mine for the graphic to the article.

Does a Variegated Lemon Tree Have Thorns? | eHow.co.uk.

I took this photo on a visit to Hawaii. I was out exploring near Hilo looking for waterfalls when my father and I were granted a tour of OK Farms. Troy Keolanui was a gracious host providing us access to his private view of several waterfalls as well as access to his orchards.

SlocumMedia stock in use at Routard.com

This photos is one of the first I ever took for Stock sales. It hass sold a handful of times. Mostly, the market for it is limited. Good to see it on a website, even if it’s in French and I have to use Google Translate to understand it.

Shariah Law coming to a School Near You

I usually just stick to photography, music, or family updates on this blog. However, this is too important to not post as it affects my family and your’s immeasurably.

Please spend just 14 minutes with the speaker in this video. She breaks down the reason we need to become energy independent of the Middle East and how Educational Jihad is being waged against the youth of America under our very noses.

Safe in His Hands

I’ve posted before on this great song. My friend Kathy Kerber wrote it for Anna Joy Peppley before her 11 day visit on earth. She’s now in Heaven completely healed of the two serious heart defects that caused her stay with her Parents and family to be so brief.

Please give the song a listen using the media player below and then click the buy button to purchase it. All sales go to medical costs and charity. Then share this post with others so they can be blessed while being a blessing themselves when they purchase the song.

Alissa, Anna Joy’s Mother, sings harmony and a bit of the lead while Kathy Kerber, the song writer, sings the bulk of the lead. In the bridge we all three did the background vocals with Alissa being mixed just a bit louder than Kathy and I.

The song just costs $0.99,  please purchase and share. You’ll be a huge blessing.

Boulder Colorado City Profile

Gotta love when one of your photos is used as the primary graphic on a site profiling a geographic region. I took this photo along Boulder Creek just outside of Boulder Colorado on a pretty foggy and rainy, Fall morning.

This image has sold for $400 at auction on stretched canvas. Contact me for a copy to hang over your mantle or in your office.

The website can be found here. Boulder Colorado Profile.

In case they’ve removed the page from their site a screenshot is below. Click to enlarge.

The Nutcracker 2011

Christmas is amazing. Mostly because of Jesus.. Christmas is the time of year we celebrate His coming to earth which ultimately lead to His sacrifice for our sins. Thank you Jesus for the most amazing gift of all.

Christmas is also magical because of all the great lights and events of the season. I was married during the Christmas season 20 years ago, December 21st 1991. I love everything about Christmas, especially Studio West Dance Academy’s production of The Nutcracker. I’m so proud to have my kids enrolled in this studio. The staff and families are all generous, kind, gracious, and encouraging. The productions are professional with amazing costumes, lights, effects and sets. Nothing here is hokey or done halfway. If you live anywhere near Olympia Washington, this is the studio where your kids can enroll and instantly be part of a family.

As most of my friends know, I’m more of a landscape and stock photography shooter than a live action photographer. This was most evident as I tried to shoot the dress rehearsals of The Nutcracker. Wow, there is so much to get right. To get the perfect shot, the shooter must account for quickly changing light, proper framing and timing is critical. Ballet is about lines and position, snap the shutter at the wrong moment and you’ve missed capturing the beauty forever.

After approaching the studio’s staff photographer about shooting alongside him I was invited to be a second shooter. I feel honored for the invitation and the experience. I discovered during the process that I’m not yet qualified for this sort of thing. My timing and light settings were frequently off. And, when I did manage to get them correct, I found that a good many of the images were framed wrong with a foot or hand just out of frame. Thi, I’m impressed at your skill. I have much to learn.

Click the image below to review a handful of the images I took. I’m looking forward to more opportunities and better results.

Crysten in The Nutcracker

In Remembrance of 9/11

I don’t live in NYC or Washington DC so I don’t duck and cover when an airplane seems to be flying to low to the ground. However, 9/11 isn’t an NYC or a DC thing. 9/11 is a loss that affected the entire country and there is no going back to the naive life we lived on 9/10.

9/11 is the day in modern history when the blood feud of Ishmael and Isaac spilled over into the Gentile Christian world. I will not forget that day, nor will I ever sleep in ignorance again. The USA, founded as a Christian nation must forever support Israel no matter the costs. The consequence of not doing so, regardless of the thuggery that will attempt to sway public opinion, is certain destruction through the judgment of Almighty God.

On 9/11 we suffered the biggest attack on American Soil since Pearl Harbor. Many heroes gave their lives that day to save the innocent. Many men and women have since died on the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan. Still others have died at the hands of Radical Islamist Terrorists around the globe and on our own soil. We must never forget those who have fallen. We must not return to our ignorant slumber. We must stand with Israel no matter the cost. We must the grace of and enter into relationship with Jesus. We must never again be a 9/10 nation.

In October of 2004 I found myself in NYC on business. While there I met several WTC survivors. The stories they told me were both gripping and terrifying. I praise God that so many were saved or not yet in the office that morning. After working alongside these everyday people I had to visit Ground Zero. The link below is to a Facebook album of images I took that day. The destruction is readily visible. The wound deep. We must never forget.

Burst Mode Video: Willamina Mud Drags 2011

Hey! Ever want to escape to rural America and experience real people having real fun? All the time! I was asked to join my sister in photographing the Willamina Oregon, Mud Drags on Jun 25th, 2011.

It was a blast! Roaring engines, flying mud, real people being themselves having a great time. It’s a real family event with people traveling in from all over the Pacific Northwest to enjoy the festivities.

The race was run by Total Destruction Racing at the request of the city of Willamina. The event is a fund raiser for their annual 4th of July fireworks. Also a great event!

I shot nearly 4000 images. Below is a video comprised of more than 3000 of them. Enjoy!
