Going into the 4th of July celebration I wanted to highlight a photo I took in Liberty Park. Liberty Park is in New Jersey just behind the Statue of Liberty. It has amazing views of Manhattan, Ellis Island and Lady Liberty and is a great place to visit.
Within Liberty Park is a war memorial which speaks volumes to the bravery of our men and women in uniform both past and present. Thank you for your service, thank you for your sacrifice, and thank you to your families for everything they give up so you can fulfill such a high calling.
About this photo: I took this photo on a slightly foggy night with the moon directly behind the memorial. The backlighting added such drama to the already moving memorial that I was very emotional.
